MARDEL MEXICAN RESTAURANT
Our story began in a restaurant. I was a waitress and he was a cook. That’s where we met, fell in love, started dating… and eventually got married. Today, we’re a family of six with four amazing children.
We’ve always worked in the restaurant industry since we were teenagers. I started at 17, and he started at 16. But everything changed when my husband was diagnosed with cancer. He lost his job and spent over a year unable to work. It was a tough time, full of uncertainty and challenges.
That’s when the dream was born: to open our own restaurant. We knew it wouldn’t be easy, but we decided to take the leap. We sold everything we had in Mexico to start from scratch. It took over a year to find a location and get everything ready, but we never gave up.
This small restaurant is more than just a business, it’s a symbol of hope and new beginnings. Here, my husband can take care of his health, eat on time, and no longer fear being discriminated against because of his illness. And I get to be close to my kids while I work.
Every dish we serve is filled with love, sacrifice, and the spirit of our family. Thank you for being part of our journey.

MARDEL RESTAURANTE MEXICANO
Nuestra historia comenzó en la cocina de un restaurante. Yo era mesera y él era cocinero. Ahí, entre órdenes y risas, nos conocimos, nos enamoramos, nos hicimos novios… y con el tiempo, nos casamos. Hoy somos una familia de seis con cuatro maravillosos hijos.
La vida siempre nos ha llevado por el camino de la cocina. Yo empecé a trabajar en restaurantes desde los 17 años, y él desde los 16. Pero todo cambió cuando a mi esposo le diagnosticaron cáncer. Perdió su trabajo y pasó más de un año sin poder trabajar. Fue un momento difícil, lleno de incertidumbre y luchas.
En medio de todo eso, nació un sueño: abrir nuestro propio restaurante. Sabíamos que no sería fácil, pero decidimos arriesgarnos. Vendimos todo lo que teníamos en México para poder empezar desde cero. Nos tomó más de un año encontrar un local y ponerlo en marcha, pero nunca perdimos la fe.
Este pequeño restaurante es más que un negocio. Es un lugar de esperanza y de nuevos comienzos. Aquí, mi esposo puede cuidarse, tomar su medicina y comer a sus horas sin temor a ser discriminado por su enfermedad. Y yo puedo estar cerca de mis hijos mientras trabajo.
Cada platillo que servimos lleva el amor, esfuerzo y sacrificio de nuestra familia. Gracias por ser parte de esta historia con nosotros.
